Big Apple Cobbler Cocktail

11/11/10

I found this yummy fall cocktail recipe on NYMag.com. This cocktail is served at Libation in the East Village. I have been there a few times and have to say, it is such a great place to go with your girlfriends! The music is fantabulous (right Meg?)

Ingredients:

1 1/2 oz. Maker's Mark Bourbon

1/2 oz. apple schnapps

apple cider

ginger ale

fresh apple

Pour bourbon and apple schnapps into a glass filled of ice, and then fill with apple cider. Top it off with a splash of ginger ale and garnish with apple slices. Yummm!

Things We Love, kate spade

My kate spade obsession is at an all time high now that I have come across this post by Felt and Wire. kate spade has come out with a new book, a spin off of their online series that they have been doing for over 2 years now titled, Things We Love. It is a compilation of all things fabulous, wonderful, and naturally, loved by kate spade.

Wedding Detail: Illustrated Table Cards and Seating Chart

11/10/10

I absolutely, positively love the illustrated table cards and seating chart that was created by Bryn over at Paperfinger (I just love all her work, as you can see here!) What a creative way to spruce up your table! The options are endless. Locations are definitely a favorite, but anything that is important or a favorite to you and your fiance can be used!

Great Wedding Favors: It's all in the presentation..

11/9/10

9 out of 10 times, when you ask someone the best favor they ever received at a wedding, it is going to be something edible (if it isn't a donation to a charity or foundation in lieu of favors). I love when the favor is something you can eat or drink, and not only that- but when you know it's a favor! There are plenty of times when I see what couples give as favors and cant help but think either 1. What a waste of money or 2. Favor? What favor?

What else is key you ask to creating a great favor? Presentation. All these favors that I found below on Martha Stewart Weddings fall into my idea of a create way to present an edible favor.

Venue Of The Week: Harvest on the Hudson, Hastings New York

11/8/10

So! We have been busy bee's over here looking for some great new things to share with you on the blog. I recently starting doing some research on venues and restaurants that would be/are great places for wedding receptions. Since then I have come across a ton of great little secrets! Harvest On The Hudson is one of them. Beautiful view, great menu, and the perfect setting for an intimate fall wedding.

I could see this as the perfect place for the wine loving couple looking to achieve that vineyard/rustic feel. The outdoor setting is amazing, and the strings of lights add that perfect touch of ambiance.

Favorite Wedding Detail: Cocktail Recipe Letterpress Coasters

11/3/10

I mean, any letterpress coaster is ok in my book. But putting your signature wedding cocktail on a coaster? Perfection! I love it! What a great little detail.

Short Wedding Dresses

11/1/10

After drooling over all of the fabulous photos everyone took at the Bridal Market just a few weeks ago, I realized something. I am truly loving the short dress! I know I had mentioned how much I loved this white lace Marchesa mini (here) and after that I really have been in love! I am traditional at heart, so I would definitely have to have a floor length dress to start- but think that changing into a short dress mid-reception is a wonderful way to add a little sass (especially during those warm summer months!)

Here are 3 that I found Southern Weddings Magazine Blog and adore!
