Family Style Tables

{photo via style me pretty}

I am quickly becoming a fan of family style tables, as opposed to round tables. For some reason I think they just look prettier at times. What are your thoughts?

Crate and Barrel Drinkware

I would say that I make trips to Crate and Barrel more than the average person. I think that it is just the perfect place for your wedding registry. The Glassware is my favorite section-even though I am always nervous I am going to take out an entire shelf of really expensive glasses. The tumblers, cafe mugs, and champagne glasses are my favorite. One cannot register without these 3 items included!

Rehearsal Dinner Dresses

1. Juicy Coutoure Linen Dress in Cantaloupe: $198

I absolutely love rehearsal dinners. It's like the calm before the storm. As I was thinking up some different idea's for a rehearsal dinner I'm working on- I thought about what brides wear to these dinners. I'm seeing more often now than ever that brides where white to this as well. But I had to throw in a few of my favorite colors (obviously!).

California Wedding

Who remembers Laguna Beach?? I do I do!! Since I am on a Jill Thomas kick- I needed to post this. This is Morgan Olsen's Wedding- she was on the first season of Laguna Beach (which, yes- by the way, I watched). She looked lovely- and these photos (and details!) are nothing short of perfection.

Playful Engagement Shoot

I am smitten over this Jill Thomas engagement shoot. These 2 just look so effortless!

Honeymoon Hot Spot: Gansevoort, Turks and Caicos

I don't think I have ever heard a bad thing about Turks and Caicos. This gorgeous resort right on the water is such an ideal place for any couple to spend their honeymoon!

Hot Air...

The setting for this wedding is idyllic, but my favorite part of this photo? The hot air balloon in the background. Gorgeous!!

Cobble Stone roads add that extra touch of charm to anything. Love this photo!

Cake Favorites

I love cake. I mean- I love sweets in general, but I have a soft spot for cake. How perfect does this cake look? As you can tell- these are my most favorite colors! The yellows and pink are such a nice compliment to each other.

April Showers... and Rainy Weddings

The weather here in NJ was pretty dreary when I started to put together this post. Since then it has seemed to clear up quite nicely! Nonetheless- one who plans to have their wedding outside, needs to always, and I mean always, have a back up plan.

5 tips:

-Discuss this at length with your wedding planner, onsite coordinator, and anyone else who this would affect.
-Make sure that an established floor plan is in place (especially if the ceremony will need to take place in the same room as the reception).
-If the weatherman says there is more than a 60% chance of rain, don't take the chance.
-You may need to add extra details if it rains (like drapery for the above point). Luckily, some lighting techs offer this service. Consider this when you are picking your vendors.
-Dont let it ruin your day!! If you prepare the best you can, then that's all you can do. Unfortunately, none of us can control mother nature. At the end of the day, it's not about the weather. It's about you and your fiance, and that wont change.
