Honeymoon Sunshine

5/4/11

Being tan can be a tricky thing, especially when it comes to your wedding day. You don't want to be too tan, or god forbid- RED, or the worst of them all, peeling!! If you are going on a honeymoon that puts you in the sun, it wouldn't be a terrible idea to get you a nice, light, glowing base before your wedding day. Here are some ways (and great products!) to keep your tan fresh from before the wedding, all the way through your honeymoon.

1: Exfoliate. I used to work at a tanning salon in college, and it wasn't until then that I was taught why they always try to sell you lotions when you walk in. Sun can't penetrate dry, dead skin. First way to fix that? Exfoliate. Exfoliating is the way to remove that top layer of dead skin. It leaves you feeling silky and smooth!

2: Moisturize and Protect: Just because your trying to get a tan doesn't mean you should go without protecting your skin. It is always good to use an spf when your tanning (I promise you will still get color!). Moisturizing your skin is vital to a long lasting tan.

3. Hydrate! Oil is a great way to hydrate (and add some sheen and shimmer to your skin!). But be careful, it also will attract the sun and you can easily be burned if you dont use any spf or have a base before hand!
